Hard Coat Anodizing Advantage
Aesthetic – Anodizing allows the aluminum to retain its metallic appearance.
Durable– Anodic coating does not wear off, chip, or peel like paint.
Resilient– Hard coat improves wear and corrosion resistance.
Affordable – More economical than powder coating.
How it Works
Sulfuric acid anodizing is an electrochemical process that produces an anodic coating. This coating is a hard protective layer embedded into the aluminum surface that protects the product from corrosion and wear. First, the parts to be anodized are mounted on a hanging rack. The rack and parts are then cleaned and rinsed before being immersed in a cooled, sulfuric acid bath charged with electricity. Finally, the product is dyed, if desired, and sealed to prevent color fading and staining.
